The name Kremer comes from the German word "Kram" which means trading post. Kremer is the hereditary name of a shopkeeper. There are lots of different spellings for the name including Kramer, Kraemer, Creamer, Cramer and many more.

Our branch is directly descended from Luxembourg and we still have many relatives there today. Thus you see the Luxembourg flag next to the US flag at the bottom of this page.
